This beautiful hammered-copper capuccino machine was given to Frank Sinatra as a gift and later donated by him to a charity auction in the early 1980's. This is a single group with a permanently installed copper heating element that sends water through a filter to reduce flavor contamination of hard water and feeds it into the boiler where a copper heating element keeps it at 212 degrees F. A pistone forces water through coffee to minimize prolonged contact which can cause bitterness. Copper shell: dome and eagle emblem along with all trim is brass.
